Fraternal Twin
Material and Technology Design institute (MATDI)

Bauhaus school is on of the most famous building of modernism era.
My institute was derived from Bauhaus school which is an institute for researching and experimenting about materials in 21st century. We are focusing on materials that have developed through time. For example, the development of concrete effects the shape of buildings because of the method of concrete finish.

MATDI is attached to original Bauhaus school to demonstrate the different shape of the building with the same material that are concrete and glass

PHASE II Play gifts & manipulative

DESIGN III PHASE II

Play gifts & manipulative

BAU-STACK

Experience the qualification of the the materials that related to Bauhaus school

Plates
These plates was developed from the first three case study plates to demonstrate the development of the toy. How the toy/game derive from the case study and how it related.

The first plate
In the first plate, it shows how to adapt the philosophy of the building to the game and about the interlock(connection) of the building.

Second plate
This plate is about the repetition that they were use to represent the mass production from industry as well as my toy Bau-stack that use this idea and produce repeated product.

Third plate
This plate is about the materials that they were use to represent the modern age at that time such as steel, glass, and concrete. So, I transfer these materials into my product to experience the quality of those materials.

Manual
The manual demonstrates how the game works. At the end it has summary that how the game derived from the bauhaus school.

Talk about the function of material and limit the number of pieces per each person

Rule/restriction and difficulties

main rule and hoe the game works

Model
As you can see that these materials has its own quality.
Cube : demonstrates the form and how it cast in to solid shape
Steel rod : used to construct/ support the structure
Acrylic sheet : was represented the glass plate.

Project1.1-Yutthapong Charoendee

Bauhaus school
Walter Gropius, 1919

Bauhaus school was designed by Walter Gropius in 1919 in Dessau, Germany. Its philosophy is to combine art to craftmanship (engineering) and to represent new modern age to the world.

PART
I represent parts of the building that was produced by industrial production which is facade, window, and balcony. These parts has repetition of its form.

DETAIL
For the detail, I go on material that he used to built the building. There are concrete, steel, and glass

DNA
This two building was designed by Walter Gropius and these buildings was an inspiration for Bauhaus building.

These buildings was in early period before Bauhaus building and it was also the inspiration for new modern building.
