As the details and keywords have been extracted and illustrated from
the case study building (The Open air school, Suresnes),
one specific characteristic that was taken and
applied throughout the process is the folding system
which appears in detail of bunched windows


Bringing the system of folding into the puzzle, the first material
that can be easily experienced and to start with is paper.
So, folding system + paper, what can be generated in this term?







The main objective of the puzzle is to let the players explore
from possible moves through another possible sequences
provided by the touching sides of shape and colours,
eventually the required task is asking the player to present
the final given shape which are the pyramid and the cube
as shown below in the video.





In the same time, players are not commited to follow the exact shown steps
as there are also different ways to explore and move
according to the initial steps of your choice
and the final outcomes are also flexible as they can be generated
in different colour patterns but still given the same forms.


The concept behind the puzzle is also related to its own inspiration
as the facade of the open air classes is an "ambiguous boundary",
(defined and mentioned in the first phase)
 when the players create the moves, they are also exploring
the same types of boundaries as appeared in the open air classes 
where the open voids were created to make another moves but meanwhile
is forbidden to do so because of the other fixed situation that has been created
which the supposed case above is just like the students' situation in the class
where in some specific moment that the facades are open
but the students are still having class so they cannot
perform outdoor actions. And still, there are also many cases
that can happen in relationship to the building.

ARTIMA'S DNA CASE STUDY : École de plein air de Suresnes, France



The Open air school of Suresnes, France was designed by Eugène Beaudouin and Marcel Lods
at Mont Velérien between 1932 and 1935 which was a purpose-built educational institution for children
with the idea of preventing and combating the widespread of tuberculosis 
in the period leading up to World War II.
The main concepts of the school are aiming to provide fresh air, good ventilation and more exposure
to the outside to improve children's health. 

Other campuses were mostly built in areas away from city centres, rural locations
that can provide space free from pollution and overcrowding.

                                              Plantation ▸ as the supporting principle of the school.

Emphasize on the body of a classroom which is the core of the story.
Zooming into the characters of facades in terms of opening and closing,
where the relationship between surrounding elements and
the classroom's activities happened and involved.
It also helps to explain the possibilities of the facade 
to become an ambiguous boundary 
as when the facades are opened, more free space can be connected 
to the outside and the boundaries are melted.
And when they are closed, the boundaries are suddenly drawn itself.
