PLATES ANALYSIS
In this phase, the continuity of Sumet Jumsai Bangkok school for the blind building and manipulate toy start to show in this original building.
The main layer or surfaces distract from first phase divided into first prefabrication, floor texture, and details for the blind users.
However, in this phase, focusing on the blind, help create an original building replacing a building next to Sumet Jumsai building with contain the same programs.
This plate analyse a programs of the new building that remain the same as the old building. The plate show the relationship between Sumet Jumsai building to the New design building. Focusing on the blind, the focusing layer is circulation. Design circulation to create a path that have a pattern inspire from floor pattern in Sumet Jumsai building. A circulation were design in order to make blind create their mental map to get use to the building, compare side by side to the texture (facade) on the building that change due to the privacy of the use inside. A columns grid also indicate on the plate to show the relationship.
This plate show the relationship between floor pattern that inspire by second floor layer of Bangkok school for the blind. Each color indicate one meaning, for example, red for main path, green for sub-path, and orange are the path that leads to the classroom.
This show a conceptual diagram between circulation and texture on the wall. Each path are scenario that indicate one type of user inside the building. Moreover, the lower diagram show a divide of masses that divide by space between, which are circulation in between masses.
This plate shows a design proposal of the new building. The perspective want to show an atmospheric representation of how blind interact and use the building. An indication of contrast of the texture show a different type of facade on the building. Moreover, a front elevation and section purpose are to show a layer that divide by horizontal (circulation) and vertical (facade texture).
