"Play Gifts & Manipulatives"
CREATIVE CONTINUITY
Inspired from the concept of Gund Hall building, the continuous surfaces forming one large space, Creative Continuity is a toy designed for an exploration of variety of form and structure. The single continuous surface is able to be built into a three-dimensional form. With the flexibility to connect each surface, one can explore many kinds of shape and unfamiliar volume, and even create a model or sculpture in one’s design.
Its educational concept is to encourage development in understanding how a connection of two-dimensional surfaces could be formed into three-dimensional volume. Its form that is inspired by Origami allows players to think creatively apart from geometric shapes. Moreover, those forms could be built on in real life from small to large scale.
Objective
To be able to construct a volume using their imagination and exploration.
Toy Operation
Attach one edge of the triangle to another edge. Continue until the player/players finish the form they wish.
Manual
Study models
