CASE STUDY - 2-story studio building faced to the courtyard
TWIN BUILDING - Additional 3-story studio building
With the additional building, the courtyard gets bigger and can be used in many activities and occasions.
This diagram represent the differences between case study and twin building
- the level of public/private in the spaces
- the informal meeting spaces in the building adjacent to the studio
- the arrangement of spaces and program inside the building that affect the facade
Twin building contains shared studios, private studios, cafeterias, informal meeting spaces,
academic facilities, and rooms for working on messy things.
For case study, public and private studio are in the same space, separated by a wall.
For twin building, the private studio are lifted up from shared studio therefore the level of private is increasing.
For case study, the informal meeting space is in the cafeteria, express the idea that discussion happen
around the dining table.
For twin building, the informal meeting spaces are added into studio space both shared and private studios.
