Play Gifts and Manipulatives


    

In this phase, I created this toy by following Maria Montessori's philosophy which is 
'THE CONSTRUCTIVE TRIANGLE'
That the design of Maria Montessori School based on.
The objective of this game achieves the purpose of this philosophy by allowing 
the kids to explore and experiment with geometry and form by using three types of triangle 
to create a new shape and pattern.
The triangles which is Equilateral triangle, Right triangle, Isosceles triangle each side 
of them are attached by a velcro in order to connect with each others.
The velcro is is flexible and strong enough to connect the triangles even at the side 
attaching or flipping back.

According to the education philosophy in the school, Maria Montessori 
divided kids into 3 ranges of ages and study in the classroom as a mixed classroom.
This toy have a different way to play for the different players.
For 0-6 years : Let’s the children freely attach each triangle together to create new form and pattern. 
The kids can learn how to create other geometric shapes from triangles and learn to
match the same length of each side of triangle.   

For 6-12 years : turn to the back side of triangles you will found that all the 
triangles are grey and there will have a color line to be a hint for the kids to attach 
the same color together to create a pattern . There is a few rules for the older kids
RULES


1. Each triangle have to form 
in equilateral triangle.
2. The same type of equilateral triangle 
cann’t be placed nearby each other.
3. The red line and yellow line 
cann’t be connected together.
From all of these to challenges the kids 
and let they learn to think one step beyond
