"Phase 2: Teaching tools, Students should
present a series of open-ended toys, games or puzzles"

LITTLE LEGS

During this phase, I designed a toy that decoded from the building " "Shichigahama Elementary School and Junior High School" . I followed the concept of  building by choosing 1  component  as inspiration and references which is 'Little space'.

I tried to play with the concept of little spaces which is how one space can combines with other space in order to create a multi function. I used the shape of little space and cut it only remain the legs so I called it as 'Little Legs'. I made the toy to have different sizes and made out of wood same as the original form.

The form places emphasis on the concepts of 'space in space' or 'piece in piece', order and unity while allowing for experimentation in balance and versatility. Little legs offers player endless new combinations that uses depth and scale to explore shapes symmetry, movement and interlocking relationship.
