PATTHARAPRAPA THONGPRASERT : DIDACTIC DNA

PROJECT 1.1
DIDATIC DNA
RMIT DESIGH HUB
PATTHARAPRAPA THONGPRASERT ( MOOK )

RMIT Design Hub

Sean godsell who is an architect in charge this RMIT Design hub

has many influenced form modern architecture to design this building

such as a geometrical form and materials .
The purpose of the Design Hub is to provide a space in a building
for a variety of design researchers.

this is a metrix showing 9 plates ,
DNA link with the design and concept of the case study architecture .

The first row present the information of RMIT Design Hub
which are elements , corridor , and facade .
the second also represent the same things derived from Sean godsell's building .
The third row also have the same comparison , buildings come from different architect
 but have same DNA.

1st row
whole
this page is showing elements of this building which are three parts of
building - basement , ground and upper level . middle of the plate show section cut
that allow you to see a structure, column, and the roof of the building .
the green hilight the connection between the two building .
I also point out and show a position of corridor which link with
second plate and explosion of facade linked with third plate.

part
I decided to show corridor as a part because it is a narrow and high space
that have a wall that made from a galvanised steel like the skin of the building .
From the bottom of plate i show the position of the corridor in the building
, at basement and other floor( from ground to top it also have same floor plan ) .
The upper one is a section and diagram showing the direction of light, sunlight and artificial light , that come inside this space .

detail
the third plate represent the detail of facade that the left one show explosion of facade .
The facade contain of inner part which is an ordinary glass and outer part
, known as skin to hide an interior inside  ,which is a kinetic one .
The facade contain of a number of panel(shown in the top of right side)
, each panel consist of 21 module , each module contains
sandblast glass and galvanised cylinder and connect with the joint and column .
Next in vertically , I show how the facade work , rotation,
The degree that facade rotate are relate with amount of sunlight
that will come through the building and also the shadow provided .

2nd row
whole
I choose 2 buildings from Sean godsell which are peninsula house
and st.andrew beach house . the plate show the section and explosion of each building .
And also elements that relate with the others plate .

part
In part of the second row , the same part are shown which is corridor

detail
in this part i show the facade of each two building.
the diagram show the way facade move and rotate .
And also show  material that architect use ( this can be represent the style of Sean godsell )

3rd row
in this row i choose 3 building from different architect
to represent thy way buildings have same DNA

 whole
the whole show the section and facade or building

part
the part show the corridor of the building . And also show
the shadow and light that play with the facade

detail
I show 3 different facade from 3 buildings each facade .
the same thing that they have is
these three are know as a "skin" .
The first and second  are kind of kinetic facade .
