From the Faculty of architecture of porto built by Alvaro Siza, The language of FAUP was extracted from the first phase which has pre-existing element, topography, visibility and continuity and developing into the second phase that is strategy-toy, Combined into the building in last phrase

Starting with experiment in the massing, the unit plan in the toy from the second phase was rearrange form and shape to find the new possibility of form and DNA in architecture and then i keep on with the one long-building and four small-building for creating the sequence, vision and continuity of terrain and building which come from the site the surrounding. For example, the long-building is higher than the other because of terrain allowed vision to the student to see through the space between the building on left side and the shape of all building also be like a opened-triangle shape to the outside which allow vision from the inside to the outside
1.Find inspiration and researching
The program of building was created from types of building which have library, game and movie room for the first building, different types of working room for the second building, discussion and communication for the third and exhibition for the last.

the relation of each building was developed and improved from the visibilitywhich cut out some unnecessary parts of buildings allowing the vision from another side.
continued with visibility, shapes of the building was bend from perspective rules which expand from the inside to the outside both in the interior and exterior caused the continuity on exterior which is circulation, shapes and terrain and in the interior which are related with relation of ceiling, floor, wall and space combined as a one line from perspective views

the purpose of the new building came form the idea of working process of architecture student which was separated into 4 steps.

the surrounding influenced the topography and visibility to the douro river that create the inspiration for the student in the faculty

TERLAPSE

From the project 1.1, the concept of topography still be the main concept of this phase to invent the board game. like Alvaro siza's quote "Nothing is invented. There is a past for everything"

Rule of Grid is main principle to create the wall and pathway which come from plan of Alvaro siza's building. The game has the concept of benefit of topography which mean player have to use the benefit from the plinth to win this game. that style of the game was stimulated from Alvaro Siza style and his working process. Moreover, Plinth of the game has variety of height caused more condition and incident in the game, letting people to play in many strategy.

Matrix Layout

All plates was separated in 3 groups which are whole, part and detail based on types of data and research and presented in the different theme of the presentation

Whole : This plate shows every detail of the building(topography, vision, area and etc.) by using the symbolic graphic
Part : Second column come with the topic of the perspective through the courtyard showing the angle and position of the building with the contrast of environment and the architecture
Detail : Skylight is the main concept of this column showing the different notion, function, purpose and form of the skylight with various emotion and feeling based on types of architecture

MAIN BUILDING : Faculty of Architecture of Porto

FAUP was created for the architecture student in the Porto University. Alvaro Siza design the faculty through the surrounding which is natural element, topography and pre-existing building.

FIRST ROW

Whole : The first plate present the variety of detail of FAUP by using symbolic graphic representing the terrain, vision, natural element and the building in plan and axonometric drawing

Topography are red

River are blue

Vision are yellow

Free-form are tree

Shadow are building height and Black line are building angle

Black concrete are courtyard and Black thick line are main circulation

Part : The perspective as exterior view show the angle of the building reflected from the courtyard in various position from the entrance to the brick wall, also showing the notion of natural element such as tree, river and terrain and the atmosphere like rhythm, volume and vision.

Detail : The interior view is represented by the skylight in the interior view of library. It is a sloped skylight that create light area for the entire room. This plate was represented by Black and white tone for emphasizing the contrast of light and shadow area.

SECOND ROW

Whole : These building are Santa maria church and Serralves meseum. two building is connected by the roadway in diagram which show variety of abstract graphic. For example, topography, wall, garden , slope floor, and etc.

Part : Two parts of perspective are showing the story of building, the notion of adventure or discovery of his building through the pathway in Serralves Museum and the easy-public access through the courtyard in many entrance of Santa Maria Church

Detail :The skylight of two building invented with different function and notion creating and representing the different atmosphere of the building. For example, in Santa Maria Church, three skylight represent Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
