The Montessori Library
The Montessori Library is designed to be located beside Apollo Montessori School in order to allow students from the school and neighborhoods to use the space efficiently. The outdoor space repeat the design of the interior by focusing on the central space where everyone are engaged to participate and meet each other.
The DNA of the case study architecture and architect are presented in library such as beams and columns arrangement, together with the space of each floor that show a different pattern while they all allow sunlight to pass through the voids wisely.
The significant element of this library is the outdoor terrace where people are able to connect with each other, also the use of material of brick and an aquamarine metal that are the fundamental characteristic of Herman Hertzberger. When we are standing on the terrace, we are able to see a panoramic perspective of the whole Montessori School with nearly 360 degrees.
