Punnathorn Phuwichit // Project 1.2 Play Gifts & Manipulatives

Punnathorn Phuwichit : Project 1.2 Play Gifts & Manipulatives

Project 1.2 Play Gifts & Manipulatives

An open-ended toy can provide usability for applied learning through developmentally
appropriate hands-on experience. A game can evaluate the methods
and teaching practices of a specific pedagogy through rule-formation.
A puzzle can explore an academic subject or theoretical concept through establishing limits.

So after looking in the detail part of The Why Factory.
I used the concept of how the steps are different in size but still
a pattern. Like the higher it is the smaller the steps will be.
And how the building built in the inner courtyard.

"STOCK"
from stair, block,and stack
and the idea of how the stock graph
is different in height.

My game is very similar to that. I used my black block to
be the surrounding wall/boundary and the orange block to connect
the walls you made.

The result you will discovered a new space created in different height of blocks

and different kind of ways you used to connect those walls.

Big Blocks                                                                    Small Blocks

These are the manual of the game.

These are examples of the result.

And this is the video of the gameplay.

This is the first study model.
I made it more stair-like at first
to make it more related to the
institute but then it is too easy.
