Learning Hub (The Hive) - Thomas Heatherwick
Heatherwick's Learning Hub at NTU Singapore, was designed to break the traditional school buildings.Within this new context the purpose of a university is to foster togetherness and sociability, so that students can meet their fellow entrepreneurs, scientists or colleagues in a space that encourages collaboration.
WHOLE
This Plate shows the idea of centralized and communal space.
It also shows how people interact in the building.
PART
This plate shows the classroom which differs a traditional front facing classroom.
By this, making the teacher collaborate among-st the students. Classrooms facing each other so students are able to see others learning and feel connected.
DETAIL
The detail focuses on the communal table in all the classrooms which breaks the hierarchy of individual classroom tables, making students interact and collaborate in learning.

In the second row, the selected projects were selected each with the concepts similar to the first rows whole, part, and detail.
