BUILT IN 1948 BY ALVAR AALTO, LOCATED IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD OF 
OTANIEMI, IN THE CITY OF ESPOO, FINLAND. 

THIS SCHOOL'S CURRICULUM WAS DESIGNED TO COMPLETE 
WITH THE TRAINING OF THE TRADE GUILDS, SO STUDENT KNOWS BOTH GENERAL 
& TRAINING FOR TECHNICAL OCCUPATIONS.

COLUMN, THESE ENABLE AUDIENCES TO MAKE COMPARISON BETWEEN DIFFERENT

CIRCULATION, SITE LAYOUT, FORM&SHAPE ETC.

COURTYARD. THE ORDER OF EACH BUILDINGS ARE VERY
SIMILAR TO SINGLE PART EXTRACTED FROM
THE OTANIMIE CAMPUS

JACOBS-GEN SCHOOL ALSO USES ARRANGEMENT THAT DEFINE SERIES OF  REPETITIVE 
COURTYARDS, EXCEPT THAT THE BUILDINGS WERE RATHER PLACED IN A 
GRID PATTERN, RESULTED IN A CLEAR VISIBLE CIRCULATION.

THIS INFRASTRUCTURE ARTICULATES THE SIDE SPACES, FUNCTION AS THE EXTERIOR 
AMPHITHEATER FACING THE OPEN SPACE, AND ALSO AS AN INTERIOR AUDITIORIUM.
THE SHAPE WAS ADOPTED FROM THE GREEK AMPHITHEATER FORM, CREATING A FEELING OF 
MOMUMENTALITY.

THE SIMILARITIES BETWEEN THESE TWO SPACES OF ASSEMBLY,
ARE THAT BOTH ARE INSTALLED WITH SKYLIGHTS FEATURE, SUNLIGHT ARE DIRECTED INTO 
THE BUILDING THROUGH CLERESTORY WINDOWS INSERTED IN BETWEEN THE CROSS-OVER 
STRUCTURE OF THE BUILDING.
3RD ROW
THE MOST RELEVANT CHARACTERISTIC OF ALL GREEK AMPHITHEATER  IS THAT
THE SHAPE OF IT WAS DESIGNED TO ALLOWS FULL VISIBILITY OF ALL AUDIENCES. 
THEREFORE, THE MOVEMENT OF THE FORM IN GOING TOWARDS ONE POINT
;WHICH IS THE CENTER STAGE.

THOUGHT ARE IMPORTANT INTO THEIR DESIGN, BUT IN THEIR OWN WAY OF
INTERPRETATION. THESE SHOWS THAT DISTINCT CHARACTERISTIC 
OF HOW WE DEFINES THE STYLES OF EACH ARTISTS.
