KANTANA MEDIA CENTER

The Kantana Media Center was  a place where students from Kantana Institute were allow to show their work  and using it's facilities such as workshop area and cgi room. The media center also allowed people from outside or local area people to have an interaction with. The purpose is to let other people know what Kantana is doing and inspire people from local area. It was placed beside the Kantana Institute, with the same position of  the walkway.  The exterior was built by concrete, while inside there will be undulating brick blocks, creating contrast between the 2 materials.

The Kantana Institute has its "cruciform plan" with a walkway to seperate each functional spaces in a type of "horizontal" aarea. The Kantana Media Center took the idea of this cruciform plan, but developed from horizontal to "verticcal". The new building has the cruciform layout at the section and also the same circulation as the existed building does. Leading the idea of this shifted cruciform plan to be developed from horizontal layout to 3D layout.
