FAGNANO OLONA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, 1972

Location: Fagnano Olona, 40 Km Northern, Province of Varse, Lombardy, Italy

The layouts show about over all looking of the case study, architecture and style
DESCRIBTION
Fagnano Olona school was built in the former site of factory. So Rossi got the
Idea of keeping the sense of industry site in his work as the monument. He also put the idea of
community in community to encage and make the communication for the students.
WHOLE
I used the plan to explain the arrangement and roles of every room also the material
which use for only monument. The section on the top is for to show the hirachy of the building and levels.
PART
In this plate, I explain the DNA of the building into the 3 term by using the axonometric to
show the system of circulation and movement combined in 3 layers. Some part of the building are
zoning in different color to show different function and language.
Detail
In the detail plate, I show about the zoning the part and
explain the element in the zone. Diagram used for perform the function and relation in some abstract concept.

Aldo Rossi have influenced his classical element as the reference of modern and nowadays architecture in term of the centralized idea, playing with form and simplifying.
