Project 1.1 - Didatic DNA: Sasina Nakmontanakum

Project 1 - Phase 1
Sasina Nakmontanakum (Kat)
Aj. Carmen Torres

The main project is Goetheanum by Rudolf Steiner based in Dornach, Switzerland.

Anthroposophy is one kind of philosophy founded by Rudolf Steiner.
It mainly talks about human's body, spirit, nature and cosmic.
Steiner used 'color theory' from Goethe. He focusing on accessible by
direct experience through the individual's inner development.

Waldorf's pedagogy isn't Anthroposophy school, but it is the education
that borrows some identities of the philosophy to taught children.
For examples: early children study about creative thinking,
elementary children study about artistic expression,
secondary children study  about critical thinking to prepare for collage/university.

The Goetheanum has two buildings. The first building was made of timber.
The auditorium made to be used as lectures or teach about spirit science.
All elements have its messages which show through design, shape, and form.
It has two unusual intersected domes as a roof.  It was fired after finished for a year.

The second Goetheanum also designed by Rudolf Steiner.
It made of reinforced concrete. The elevation inspired from the texture
of a mountain. It is the largest building at the center of Dornach hill.
Every element from outside to inside is different
because it contains inner message follow Anthroposophy.
It is the 20th-century expressionist architecture.

In the second building has two auditoriums. The first one is the main auditorium
which is the largest room. It is a great hall with 1,500 seats. Stained glasses reflects
each color to the room. It aimed to be an emotional sensory room for lecture and performances.

This plate collected detail in the building. Each element is different even it
made for the same purpose. It expresses inner emotional through the
form which usually inspired from nature. Windows in various shape and size
are indicated the function of the room behind it.

Painted ceiling is ''Human Evolution".  The sculpture is ''The Representative of Humanity''.
These are related to Anthroposophy for lead people thought of spiritual science.
From my research, Steiner talked a lot of classic architectural style like
Greek, Roman, Gothic, etc. So, we can see these style through the whole buildings.

Around the Geotheanum, Rudolf Steiner also built other architecture on Dornach hill.

Pantheon and Burgtheater have used some identity to create both Goetheanums.

Marecollege is one of the Waldorf's schools in Leiden, Netherlands by 24H Architecture.
It resembles Glasshaus at Dornach. Due to its colors, materials, and forms of U-main building.
The facade designed to look like the tree. It has different timber roof for each 32 class rooms.
This strategy allows students have maximum concentration
through a fresh schooling ventilation system.
