MAIN STUDY CASE : BANGKOK SCHOOL FOR THE BLIND
Whole: During a time of 1973, this building is the first building that use 'prefabrication' technique to construct a building. It is remarkable at that time with the use of color and texture to divide spaces, beams, columns, and surfaces. Blue represent columns, orange represent beams.
Part : A floor inside a building have a different color and pattern. Each color represent one meaning, for example, an orange on the floor represent classrooms. To the most left, where every color comes together is the auditorium.
Details : There are many columns inside a building, for blind student, a pin around a column is necessary for them to warm where the columns located. Also, a pin used as a navigation inside a building for the blind as a mental map of space. The use of different texture on the floor also on way of navigation, for example, a concrete floor and a hill that connect together will shows blind student a different texture of surfaces and also lets them know a feelings between building and nature.
